California Coast

Our first evening was in Crescent City, CA.  We had to stop and take in this breathtaking view.

Oh Yes!  Our first stop on the way back to AZ was Eugene, OR for some heavenly tacos and guacamole!  I have been waiting a very long time for this treat.  Don't worry, we stopped again in CA.  Twice in one week, how blessed!

 We were lucky enough to get a sibling and family picture while we were together in WA.  I don't know the last time we did one of these, maybe Alex's wedding. 

Strawberry Fields

We wanted to do our annual berry picking but with the cold weather in WA the u-pick fields weren't ready for us yet.  Fortunately Mr. Picha of Picha's Berry Farms was my 7th grade earth science teacher.  He allowed us to at least get our pictures done and we even gleaned a few that were totally ripe.

One of our favorite summer traditions has  been to go on weekly excursions with Juliana and Tanner.  We had to keep it up while we were in WA.  Anni and I took the kids to Seattle and then went to ClaimJumper for dinner on the way home.

Yes, it started to rain

Nicole decided that she wanted to have a birthday party while we were in WA becuase we moved before her birthday and she wanted to celebrate with the friends she left behind.  We had a garden party in the backyard and made fairty houses under the big tree.  The girls all decorated their own cupcakes and we played a couple of games.  It was a great party.  Thanks to all the friends that came!  Happy Birthday Nicole!  We love you!

Jack in the Box

This is a box to hold the dress up clothes.  Well these little girls realized that they could fit in it.  They surprised me and then we made a game of it.  We sang the 'Pop goes the Weasel' song and they would jump up on cue.  Too funny!
